If you’ve floated the Snake River, chances are you have benefited from the creativity of Jackson Hole’s river legends.
Did you know that river pioneer Frank Ewing – one of the “legends” being honored at this year’s Legends of the Snake - together with Dick Barker (honored at last year’s event), designed the Snake River Raft, the popular boat style still used by many river companies? They also customized the Salmon River Raft to include the first self-bailing floors in the river industry. (That’s Frank, above, in the good ol’ days.)
