
The Snake River Fund, alongside Women in the Tetons and Teton County Search and Rescue Foundation provide scholarships for 12 recipients to participate in a women specific Swiftwater Rescue course. Facilitated by Black Fox Rescue and taught by a highly qualified female instructor, Lynsey Nunes, this course teaches practical river rescue and safety skills. This course focuses on teaching river recreationists self-rescue, throw bag rescue, and simple rope rescue techniques and skills. Learning and practicing these skills alongside other passionate outdoorswomen offers a unique community building opportunity.
Course Dates: July 11th-12th
All women are welcome to apply for this scholarship, both cisgender and transgender women, as well as non-binary people who feel belonging among communities of women.
Applications will be open between April 1st and May 2nd.
