Snake River Fund has led the way in making sure your river stays public for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Through our continued efforts and partnerships, areas of the Snake River will always be available for our community.

West Table Boat Ramp

With changing rooms, pit toilets, and recycling for aluminum, plastic, and glass, this is the main put-in for Alpine Canyon—note that there is no cell service in the area.

Sheep Gulch Boat Ramp

The Sheep Gulch Boating Site, located in Snake River Canyon off Highway 89 south of Hoback Junction, is the main take-out for the Snake River whitewater stretch, offering parking for trailers, restrooms, changing rooms, and scenic access—note there’s no camping, no cell service, and it’s about 45 minutes from Jackson.

Elbow Boat Ramp

The Elbow Boat Ramp, managed by the Bridger‑Teton National Forest, is a popular launch point on the Snake River south of Jackson, WY—offering both walk-in and drive-in access for boats and canoeists, with restrooms on site and no camping allowed.

Pritchard Boat Ramp

The Pritchard Boat Ramp is a peaceful river launch site on the Snake River—ideal for scenic floats or fishing, it’s the starting point for an 8-mile braided-stream journey ending at West Table, with toilets available.

Taco Hole Kayak Access

The Taco Hole Kayak Access is a free, day-use-only launch site on the Snake River Canyon—about 27 miles south of Jackson—featuring a parking turnout with trailer turnaround, a steep trail and stairs to the river, but no facilities or cell service.

Kings Wave Kayak Access

The King’s Wave Kayak Access is a day-use, highway-turnout launch site with a short trail and stairs down to the river wave, located about 20 minutes south of Jackson near Hoback Junction—no facilities or cell service, but plenty of parking for trailers for kayak surfers seeking a play wave.

South Park Boat Ramp

The South Park Boat Launch, located at 6746 Henrys Road in Jackson, WY, is a public boat ramp on the Snake River managed by Teton County Parks & Recreation, offering paved trailer parking, restrooms, and scenic river access for fishing, rafting, or floating adventures.

BLM Parcel 23

BLM Parcel 23 is a publicly accessible tract of Bureau of Land Management land along the Snake River just south of Jackson, Wyoming, off Fall Creek Road. It offers one of the area’s best swim holes, excellent bank-fishing spots, and carry-in access for kayaks and small boats.

Wilson Boat Ramp

The Wilson Boat Ramp, located off Moose-Wilson Road next to R Park in Wilson, WY, is a public launch on the Snake River managed by Teton County Parks & Recreation, offering paved parking, restrooms, and improved access.
