Your Voice for the River

Since 1999, the Snake River Fund has been Northwest Wyoming’s leading organization advocating for recreational access to and stewardship of the Snake River Headwaters.

OUR PRIORITIES

Our organization seeks to fund educational programs for kids, protect/restore fisheries, enhance public access, promote safer boating culture, prevent aquatic invasive species, advocate for Snake River headwaters.

Stewardship

Snake River Fund protects the Snake River watershed in Wyoming, preserving its ecosystem and biodiversity for future generations. It’s one of the few U.S. rivers with Wild & Scenic designation.

We are dedicated to promoting public access to the Snake River watershed—helping agencies fund boat ramp repairs, provide specialized training, and keep the community’s favorite river spots public.

Snake River Fest

The Snake River Fund and its key partners are excited to announce the 4th Annual Snake River Fest!

The Snake River and its headwater tributaries are an indispensable resource to Jackson Hole and our neighboring communities. Teton County’s 400+ miles of Wild & Scenic Rivers attract visitors from around the globe and local residents alike for their scenery, fishery, wildlife habitat, and recreational opportunities.

Snake River Fest celebrates the history, stewardship, and culture of our great river, along with the joy we all find in River Time. Join us June 6 – June 8, 2025 as our community celebrates our Wild and Scenic Rivers.

Join Snake River Fund’s Fight to Protect Teton County Public Lands

A decade’s long effort to transfer BLM lands into Teton County hands is at a precarious tipping point and, now, access to some of our community’s most precious riparian public lands is under threat. BLM Parcel 9/10 is 350+ acres of public lands sitting just North of Emily’s Pond. You may know it best for the nearly 3 linear miles of levee top access.

Snake River Fund Realizes Major Win for Public Lands

The Snake River Fund has been successful in their request that approximately 2000 linear feet of public lands be opened for the enjoyment of all this winter. BLM Parcel 9/10 is approximately 320 acres of public land situated just to the north of Emily’s Pond in Teton County.
