Women’s Swiftwater Training – June 26 & 27, 2020

Happening June 26 & 27, 2020 and hosted by by Snake River Fund, Jackson Hole Babe Force, Artemis Sportswomen, and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.

Who: Women (18 y.o. +), 20 participants allowed on a first come, first served basis, waitlist will be contacted in sequence from original contact, no commercial river guides please.

What: A two day immersive on-river swiftwater rescue course taught by Black Fox Rescue Institute. This course is an opportunity to learn about preparing for, practicing what to do, how to safely be in moving water. Participants will be taught and practice how to lead and assist in moving water rescue, boat flip drills and thinking through river rescue. All participants will need to complete acknowledgement of risk forms prior to participating in this course

Cost: FREE (A $100 refundable deposit is required at time of registration. Cancellations made before two weeks or greater are eligible for refund).

What is Provided: Two day professionally instructed swiftwater rescue course, drysuit rental.

What to Bring: An appropriately fitted Type III or Type IV Personal Flotation Device (PFD or Lifejacket), closed toed shoes for the water, helmet, and any personal river equipment you own/use (throw bags, webbing, carabiners, etc)
