Saddened by the Loss of Travis Ziehl

February 14, 2019/in News /by Snake River Fund

We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our dedicated members, Travis Ziehl. Snake River Fund, family, friends and our community has lost a true champion. Travis, 37, spent well over a decade protecting Jackson Hole’s open space working with Teton County Weed & Pest District. It was through his efforts to maintain an invasive species free Snake River corridor that he and the Snake River Fund came to work together. For the last several years, Travis served on the Board of Directors for the Fund. Even over the last 14 months, Travis continued his participation in Fund meetings, vision, public workshops and outreach. It has been humbling to be in the company of someone who was fighting for life and still fighting for the best that Jackson Hole has to offer.

Travis served our community in other capacities as well, he was on the Board of Supervisors for Teton Conservation District, Jackson Hole Trail Runners, a Snake River Brewing Mug Club member and more.

We would like to express our sincere condolences, love and gratitude to Monika Ziehl and their family and friends during these difficult time.
